No. You can read, journal, and listen on this device without signing in. An account keeps that journal when you move between the website and the phone.

On an iPhone, cancel in Settings, your name, then Subscriptions. On Android, cancel in the Google Play app under Payments and subscriptions. On the website, open Settings and tap Manage billing. Plus renews until you cancel, at least 24 hours before the period ends.

Sign in, open Settings, and tap Delete account. You will be asked to confirm. That removes the account and the journal stored with it. Store subscriptions are canceled in the App Store or Google Play. The steps are also on the delete account page.
